Intro to Steeking Class

For this class we will knit a coffee cup cozy in the round using stranded knitting. We will reinforce the steek, cut the knitting and add button bands to complete the cozy. This is a 2 session class. In the first class we will start the knitting and in the second class we'll complete the steek and button bands.

Materials Needed:

• 4 colors of worsted weight, non superwash yarn - 2 back ground colors, 39 yards and 12 yards; 2 contrasting colors, about 11 yards each
• US5 small circular or double point knitting needles
• 3.75mm crochet hook
• tapestry needle
• (3) 1/2" buttons
