Butterfly Knitted Shawl Class

The Butterfly, aka Papillon, has not waned in popularity. The garter stitch pattern utilizes short rows and a striping yarn like Uneek to create its amazing look. A solid yarn creates the frames around the pods of color. If you don't like shawls, you can opt for the poncho or cowl version of this pattern. Gather your yarn and needles and get started on this fun project.

Materials Needed:

• ~800 yards striping fingering weight yarn (Uneek)
• ~400 yards solid or tonal fingering weight yarn
• US4 circular knitting needle 40" long
